Bryan, Margaret, Bailee and Bryson visited Grandma on her 97th birthday. As you can see from the video, she has very little awareness of what is going on around her.
Her food is limited to thick liquids rather than solid food mainly because of the danger of her aspirating (food getting into her lungs). This means her ability to swallow is affected. But more profound is her lack of recognition of those around her, even though there are times she appears to be aware.
